"I was.' A grim smile curved my lips. 'I actually retired from the business a couple of months ago. But it doesn't seem to have seem to have sunk in yet."
Extremely good book! This one had me riveted from the first page. I had a hard time putting it down because this one was personal for Gin. More personal than she's ever been before, with a rare look into her past and need for acceptance. All the old cast is there, but Gin get a sudden and starkly surprise that shakes her whole foundation. While full of action and suspense, there is an undercurrent of emotion beyond Gin's comfort zone, leading her into some very sensitive situations. Overall, I think this one is my new favorite in the series. I can't wait for Gin's next job!
