"You aren't going to give me a lecture on loose morals, are you? Listen, Buster, I deserve to have a romance. I've hung on to my virginity for twenty-nine long years."
This was a really funny book. While there was a romantic undertone, I found the humor and banter to be wonderful. This was a love story that was tangled in a huge web of mystery. It has a ghost, a dead body, two people just crazy about each other and a whole lot more. Ivan is every girl's pirate fantasy and although he screams scoundrel, he's so much more. Couldn't help but root for him. Stephanie was a horse of a different color. She is neither a damsel in distress or a hard ass heroine. She is strong and delicate all mixed together and makes for the perfect love interest. Put those two together on a 100 year old schooner and then an old haunted house and sparks will fly. Great quick read. Enjoyed this one immensely. I am glad the title was changed as Love Overboard is far more catching than Ivan Takes a Wife.
