"For reasons that didn't fully compute, she frequently found her sensor seeking him out in the crowd of androids and technicians, and everytime she spotted him, her fan did that strange little jump like it had when she'd seen the holograph."
This was a nice addition to the series. It was interesting to see an android changed by love. It is a take on the little mermaid and shows how anything can sacrifice itself to make those it love happy. Star is just a normal mech bot who's programing malfuctions and she beings to experience emotions. Most notably love. Her love for Dataran is so powerful that she sacifices everything so he can have what he really wants. It's a rather quick read and we only spend a few seconds with Cinder, but even it's enough to know how special she is.
